How to open a BingX account step by step, with identity verification

BingX is one of the few exchanges that lets you add a referral code after signing up, and one of the fastest at verifying identity: 2 to 10 minutes, according to its help centre. The catch is that without verification you can’t even deposit. These are the steps, from a new account to your first trade, checked on its official website.

What you need before you start

To open a BingX account you need an email address or a mobile number, a valid ID document and a camera for the selfie, to be 18 or over and to live in a country BingX accepts. If you are going to use P2P, you will also need to link a phone number.

  • ID document: national ID card or passport, depending on what BingX accepts for your country. It doesn’t ask for proof of address.
  • Email or mobile: if you sign up with email, BingX asks you to link a phone number before buying through P2P.
  • The referral code, if you are using one: best entered during sign-up, although BingX lets you add it later under certain conditions. What it is and who gets what is explained in referral code.
  • An accepted country: the list of the ones it doesn’t accept is further down, under “Which countries”.

Signing up on the website, step by step

Signing up for BingX takes five steps and asks for no documents yet: you choose email or mobile, create the password, enter the referral code if you have one, accept the terms and confirm with the code you receive. Like this:

  1. Go to bingx.com and click Sign Up.
  2. Choose email or phone and enter it.
  3. Create the password: 8 to 30 characters, with numbers and letters.
  4. If you have a referral code, enter it in Referral code. If you came in through an affiliate’s link, check that it is already filled in.
  5. Accept the customer agreement and the privacy policy, and enter the code sent to your email or by SMS.

It’s the same in the app: tap your avatar at the top left, then Sign Up, and follow the same steps.

If you signed up without a code, you can add it under Account and Security, in the referrer option (in the app, in your profile settings). It only works if you haven’t yet deposited, bought crypto on BingX or invited anyone, and once it is added it can’t be changed.

BingX identity verification (KYC)

Since 19 November 2024 BingX has had two levels: unverified and advanced verification. For advanced verification it asks for a photo of your ID document and a selfie, and according to its help centre it takes 2 to 10 minutes. Without it, the account is only good for looking around:

UnverifiedAdvanced verification
DepositNoYes, with no limit
TradeNoYes
Buy with money (card, P2P)NoYes
Withdraw within 24 hoursUp to 20,000 USDTUp to 5,000,000 USDT
  1. In your profile, go to Identity Verification and choose Individual.
  2. Under Advanced, click Verify Now.
  3. Choose your country and the document, and take the photos: the whole document, with no glare and all four edges visible.
  4. Take the selfie following the instructions and wait for the result.

BingX warns that the levels and their limits can vary by region. Anyone who verified before 13 June 2024 already has advanced verification.

The first thing after opening it: security

The first thing worth doing after opening the account is linking Google Authenticator, from Account and Security, in the security centre. If you ever reset it, BingX blocks withdrawals for 24 hours to protect you. After that, two more settings:

  • Anti-phishing code: 4 to 20 characters, with no symbols and different from your password. It appears in BingX’s emails: if an email doesn’t include it, it isn’t from BingX.
  • Fund password: six digits to confirm deposits, withdrawals and trades.

No BingX employee will ever ask for your password or your verification codes. If someone does, it is a scam.

Your first deposit, the demo and moving to futures

With a verified account you can deposit crypto you already own, buy it by card or buy it from another person through P2P. To trade perpetual futures, the balance has to be in the perpetual futures account, which is separate from the funding account:

  1. In Assets, choose Deposit, the coin (for example, USDT) and the network, and copy the address. The network must be the same on both sides.
  2. If you buy by card, go to Buy Crypto → Bank Card: it requires verification and a linked email, and your bank will ask you to confirm the transaction.
  3. When it arrives, transfer the balance from the funding account to the perpetual futures account.

Before using real money, the account comes with 100,000 virtual USDT for the futures demo: they are under Assets → Futures Account → USDⓢ-M Perp → Virtual USDT. They can’t be withdrawn, and they are topped up if they drop below 20,000, once every seven days. What to do on your first trade is in how to start with futures.

Which countries BingX can be used from

BingX does not accept residents of the countries named in its legal notice: among them the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China. The list says “among others” and can change depending on the service, so it’s worth checking before you verify.

  • Excluded in its legal notice: Afghanistan, Burundi, Cambodia, Canada, the Central African Republic, mainland China, Cuba, the DR Congo, Hong Kong, Iran, Laos, Macau, Myanmar, the Netherlands, North Korea, the occupied areas of Ukraine, Panama, Singapore, Somalia, the United Kingdom, and the United States and its territories.
  • In the European Economic Area: BingX EU, its Vienna-based subsidiary, obtained a MiCA licence from Austria in October 2026 for crypto exchange and custody, not for futures: MiCA doesn’t cover derivatives. According to the ESMA register, that licence doesn’t reach Spain or Malta. Accounts on bingx.com are not covered by any MiCA licence.

If you live in the EEA, check on the ESMA register which BingX entity is authorised in your country and for which services. If you live in the United Kingdom, BingX does not accept UK residents.

BingX compared with the others

BingX is best known for its copy trading, which lets you copy other traders on perpetual futures, standard futures and spot. In September 2024 around 44 million dollars were stolen from its hot wallet, and it promised to cover its users.

How it compares with Bitunix, Bitget and OKX on licences, reserves and track record is in the exchange comparison. CryptoBruj also compares exchanges for trading in 2026 in this video on its channel (in Spanish).

Frequently asked questions

Can you use BingX without KYC?

Without verification you can create the account and withdraw up to 20,000 USDT a day of what you already hold, but you can’t deposit, trade or buy with money. To really use it you need advanced verification.

How long does BingX verification take?

According to its help centre, advanced verification takes 2 to 10 minutes. If the photos can’t be read properly, it is rejected and you have to do it again.

Can you add a BingX referral code after signing up?

Yes, under Account and Security, in the referrer option, as long as you haven’t yet deposited, bought crypto on BingX or invited anyone. Once it is added, it can’t be changed or removed.

Does BingX have a demo account?

Yes: every new account receives 100,000 virtual USDT to trade perpetual futures without real money. They can’t be withdrawn and are topped up if they drop below 20,000, once every seven days.

Is BingX available in the UK?

No. BingX’s legal notice excludes the United Kingdom, as well as the United States and Canada. In the EEA, bingx.com holds no MiCA licence, and the BingX EU licence doesn’t cover futures or reach Spain or Malta, according to the ESMA register.

How can I help?

Does it cost anything?

No. The site, checking whether you’re a referral and the Trading Hub cost you nothing: to join, your account just needs to be a referral, with no minimum trading volume. I don’t sell anything.

What is the Trading Hub?

My private Telegram group, where I share my analysis and my trades with my referrals. It’s for anyone whose exchange account was opened with my link or my code.

What does being a referral mean?

That you opened your exchange account with my link or my code. You can check it in a moment in Am I a referral? with your exchange and your UID.

Where do I find my UID?

In your exchange profile, next to your name or your email, with a button to copy it. Bitget: on the website, hover over your profile in the top right; in the app, tap your profile in the top left, then “Profile”. Bitunix: on the website, click your profile in the top right. BingX: on the website, hover over your profile in the top right; in the app, tap your profile in the top left. OKX: on the website, hover over your profile in the top right; in the app, open the menu, then “Profile and settings”.

How do I join the Trading Hub?

You need to be 18 or over and have an exchange account opened with my link or code, which you’ll find in My exchanges. Fill in the Trading Hub form with your exchange, your UID, your email and your Telegram username, the one that starts with @: you’ll find it in Telegram’s Settings and, if you don’t have one, you can create it there. If the exchange confirms that you are a referral, it gives you a personal link to the Telegram bot, which lets you into the group. Open it from the same Telegram account you entered in the form.

My account doesn’t show up as a referral. What do I do?

Check that the exchange and the UID are correct and, if you've just created the account, try again in a while. If it still doesn't show up, your account wasn't opened with my link or code, and the code can't be added afterwards. You have two options: open an account on another of the exchanges from My exchanges and join the Trading Hub with it (it's the quickest, and you can keep using the one you have), or make your account a referral with your exchange's steps. Each exchange's steps are in Help.

I opened my account without the code. Can I still join?

Yes, although the code can’t be added to an account that already exists. The quickest way is to open an account on another of my exchanges with my link, from My exchanges, and join the Trading Hub with it: you can keep using the one you have. If you’d rather stay on your exchange, open a referral account there. On Bitget, open another one with a different email and my link; or delete yours, wait 30 days and create it again with my link and the same identity verification. On BingX, open another one with my link and move your identity verification to it. On Bitunix, open another one with a different email and my link.

I don’t have Telegram, or the bot link doesn’t work

The Trading Hub is on Telegram: if you don’t have it, install it and create your username, the one that starts with @, in Settings. The bot link is personal and only works from the Telegram account you entered in the form. The group invitation works once and expires after 15 minutes: if you missed it, open the bot again and it gives you another one, up to 3 every 24 hours. If you’ve already joined and can’t see the group (on your phone, for example), update Telegram and search for “Trading Hub” in your chats. If you lost or changed your Telegram account, or the bot doesn’t give you the invitation, write in through the Help form with your exchange and your UID.

Can I be removed from the Trading Hub?

To stay in, your account just needs to remain a referral, with no minimum trading volume: the bot checks it every day. If it stops being one, the bot lets you know privately and, if it still isn’t one 7 days later, removes you from the group. You aren’t banned: if it becomes a referral again, open the bot again and it lets you back in.

What language is the Trading Hub in?

In Spanish, like my videos and my live streams.

What is the newsletter?

An email I write to you every Monday: an idea on mindset to trade with a clear head, the week’s summary with my videos, and the events and promos of my exchanges. It’s free, you sign up on the newsletter page and you can unsubscribe with the link in every email.

Do you give investment advice?

No. What I publish is general and educational information, the same for everyone: it isn’t advice or a recommendation for you, because I don’t know your situation, and every decision is yours. The details are in the terms.

How do I know if whoever is messaging me is really CryptoBruj?

I never message you first in private, neither me nor anyone on my team, and I’ll never ask you for money, passwords, keys or your seed phrase. I don’t manage funds or trade for anyone either, and I don’t sell anything: no courses, no access to groups. If someone does any of that in my name, it’s a scam: don’t pay them or give them any details, block them and report them. Giveaway winners are told by email, never by private message.

How do I delete my data?

Write to me at ayuda@cryptobruj.com and tell me what you want deleted. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter yourself with the link in every email. What is kept and for how long is in the privacy policy.

Question not here? Write to me and I’ll answer by email.
